During their annual trends briefing, delivered last November at SC17, industry analyst Hyperion Research predicted: "HPC in the Cloud will lift the sector writ large." In other words, they remain optimistic on worldwide HPC as a growth market, with Cloud use tagged as an 'uplifting' enabler.
And when it comes to hybrid cloud, ample support for Hyperion's prediction can be derived from the removal of various barriers that previously inhibited adoption: cloud providers offer HPC optimized systems, applications are increasingly open-source or have cloud-friendly licenses, and technologies like containers ensure portability. It is now easy to tap cloud-based compute cycles opportunistically, economically, and seamlessly.
This webinar delves into hybrid cloud by sharing detailed use cases from organizations that have already adopted the technology, and are already reaping the benefits of 'going hybrid'.
